Mrs M Poxon

Hi Folks,
You may already know me, but I will introduce myself anyway. My name is Marie Poxon and I am the Family Support Worker for All Saints Primary School.

I have worked at All Saints Primary School for 11 years and prior to that my children attended the school too, and at times I wish that there could have been someone there for me to talk to, even if it was just to pass the time of day. I can understand the pressures of what life can throw at you, and I know from experience how a little chat and cup of tea can help go a long way to help deal with these pressures!

Our Family Room and myself are available for you to come along and discuss matters whether they be to do with school or at home both privatly and confidentially
5 days a week (Monday - Friday) between 8:00 am - 4:00pm.

I can be contacted through the school on:-

and ask to speak to Marie.

I have recently organised 2 courses for parents and grandparents who came along and studied in school to gain certified qualifications in Food Hygiene and First Aid.
Following the success of the previous courses we are now able to offer a course in Basic ICT Skills. This course is available to all parents, grandparents and other family reletives.
The course will run for 10 weeks at All Saints School on Wednesday's from 9 am till 11am. Part of the weekly course is a half hour slot for your child or children to join you in our ICT suite, to learn through an activity together. Attendance to every session is essential, so commitment is important.

There will be a certificate issued at the end of the course, and document showing what you have achieved, although this does not have accredited status. However for a cost of £20 you can go through the assessment at the end of the course and therefore it would then become an accredited qualification. This is optional.

We have limited places available, so will operate a first come first served basis to reserving a space on the course. For more details see me (Mrs. Poxon) in the school office. Please reply by Tuesday 1st March, so that we can assess the course viability as soon as possible.

Below are some photographs of successful parents, grandparents and reletives receiving their certificates in our thursday celebration assembly on 3/2/11.
