British Values

In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.

The Key Values are:

  • Democracy
  • Rule of law
  • Individual liberty
  • Mutual respect
  • Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs

Values Passports

All Saints children demonstrate both our School Values as well as our British Values and use their Values Passports to help them achieve this. They are responsible for looking after their individual Values Passports, and demonstrate these values both at home and in school. The child or an adult fills in how they’ve shown the values within the separate objectives. For example – Love- offering help to someone in need, have they helped out someone at home… They write down what they did to help and an adult signs to say they agree. Each of our values is broken down into three objectives for the children to achieve. Our passports really help to embed both our School Values and our British Values.
