Charity Work

At All Saints C of E Primary School, we believe that showing compassion and care for others is a vital part of our Christian ethos.

Supporting a wide range of charities—both local and global—is one way we live out our school values in action. We want our pupils to understand that they are part of a wider community and that their actions can make a real difference in the world.

By supporting local charities, we help strengthen our immediate community, reaching out to those nearby who may be facing challenges. At the same time, we partner with national and international organisations to help those in need across the world, encouraging pupils to develop empathy and a global outlook.

Through fundraising, awareness campaigns, and acts of service, we aim to inspire a lifelong commitment to generosity, justice, and kindness. Supporting charities helps our pupils put faith into action, living out the teachings of Jesus by loving our neighbours—whether they live next door or across the world.

Sal's Shoes

Helping preloved shoes find new feet!

There are 300 million children in the world for whom walking with shoes is a rarity. This makes them extremely vulnerable to infection by parasites, such as hookworm; while injuries to the feet and ankles can lead to ulcers and other conditions which are almost always left untreated. Without shoes, many children are not permitted to attend school.

Sal's Shoes cross continents to make sure that used, loved (and barely worn) outgrown shoes are delivered straight from you to those in need.

Sal's Shoes have found new feet for almost 1,500,000 pairs of shoes in 43 countries around the world, including the UK.

New Beginnings

We support New Beginnings a charity which provides, through registered referral agencies, ‘Newborn Bundles’ for the most vulnerable mothers in our communities. These generally consist of a Moses Basket filled with toiletries and clothing for the first six weeks or so of a new baby’s life, gifted to families in need. They operate on donations from the public, and are volunteer led.

Food Banks

At Harvest Festival we collect food and other essentials for our local food bank.

Giving to a food bank helps provide essential food and support to individuals and families facing financial hardship and food insecurity. It addresses immediate needs during crises, reduces food waste, and fosters community support. Ultimately, it contributes to a more stable and equitable society by ensuring access to basic necessities.

Children In Need & Red Nose Day

These events are always marked in school with money raised through donations sent to the charities. We too believe that every child should have the chance to thrive and be the best they can be!
