Here at All Saints C of E Primary School we are passionate about teaching and learning through The Arts. Children are taught a full breadth of skills across the Arts including: Art, Dance, Drama and Music. We have Arts Specialists in our own staff team and this fosters a creative approach across the curriculum and provides quality professional development across the teaching team.
Throughout the school year we teach high quality units of work in Art which are stimulated by significant artists. Learners use this as a stimulus to inspire, interpret, explore, apply and exhibit their skills and knowledge. Children and staff collaborate to put on live performances, concerts, shows and our Arts Festival. We showcase and use Arts across the curriculum and to also explore other themes such as mental health and well-being.
We are a Music Hub school and offer specialist music teacher lessons as well as curriculum support. Music is showcased through live music concerts, our annual Arts Festival, school choir performances and Drum Masterclass.
Children in years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to attend Ingestre Hall, the only Arts Residential Centre for young people in the UK.
As an Arts Mark Gold school we are currently in the process of reapplying for Arts Mark.
