We follow the White Rose schemes of learning. These schemes are based around using the concrete, pictorial and abstract approach when teaching children how to find the answer to different types of calculations. This might be very different to the way that parents were taught maths at school. There are some very helpful videos on the White Rose website that will help you to use these methods to support your child at home. There are also parent guides and resources that you can print off and use.

White Rose also offer free workbooks that you can complete with your child at home. There is a workbook available for each unit that your child will cover at school. You can find these here to print and use.
