  • Plas Gwynant 2024- Day 4

    Thu 22 Feb 2024

What a fantastic last full day!  The rain finally stopped and the clouds cleared to reveal the warm, winter sunshine- perfect 😊.

We began the day (bright and early) with our chores to help keep the Plas Centre clean and tidy.  Our grumbling tummies then led us to the dining room so that we could tuck into our breakfast.  Breakfasts have been amazing, there’s no better way to start the day than on a full stomach.

After making our lunch and meeting for our daily team briefing, we packed our rucksack and headed out for the day: beach exploring, mountain hiking and gorge walking.

Together, we completed another awesome day tackling tricky terrain and climbing challenges that we never imagined we would conquer.  Finally, we soaked up every last view, valley and waterfall on our journey home to the Centre- we will definitely miss the beautiful views and scenery.

To finish our time here at Plas Gwynant, we are currently dancing the night away before we climb those wooden hills for the last time.

We can’t wait to see you and tell you all about the fantastic activities (and challenges) that we have been lucky enough to experience as an All Saints team!

  • Plas Gwynant 2024- Day 1, 2 & 3

    Wed 21 Feb 2024

We don’t quite know where to start but we can definitely reassure you that we are having the most AMAZING time!  We haven’t actually been here that long but it already feels like home.

Over the last 3 days, the weather has been pretty wet- mild but wet!  (We were totally led into false pretences when we arrived as the sun was very quickly smothered by thick, dismal clouds.)  The Plas staff -Jeff, Dan, Mel Charlie and Kev- are ace and have challenged us both as a team and individually.  So far, we have been canoeing, abseiling, mining and beach exploring; the weather hasn’t been ideal but it that hasn’t dampened our spirits or stopped us getting stuck in!

Our days are jam-packed (7:30am-9:30pm) but we don’t mind as we are constantly learning new skills, building stronger relationships with our peers and stepping outside of our comfort zone.

Wales is a beautiful part of the world, with stunning views and hidden gems, take a look at us in action!
